Rental rates in Spain have increased by 50 % in five years
In some regions of the country, the growth of rental rates exceeded 60 %.
Over the past five years, residential real estate rentals in Spain have risen in price by 50 %, according to analysts of the portal Fotocasa.
Rental rates rose the most in Valencia — by 69 %. This is followed by Santa Cruz de Tenerife at 68% and Barcelona at 67 %.
The increase in prices was also significant in the Balearic Islands-66 %, in Madrid-63 % and in Las Palmas-62 %.
Rental prices rose the least in regions where there is an outflow of population. These are Zamora-6 %, Caceres-7 %, Palencia-10 %, Badajoz-11 %, Leon-12 % and Burgos-12 %.
Among cities and municipalities, prices in Ibiza soared the most — by 93 %. In Arona and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, rents increased by 77 %. In the city of Valencia-by 72 %.
